Maschinenbau EP (Praxis 56)

Harakiri Tiger Eurostar - surprisingly easy to listen to for the given amount of noise and higher frequency/BPM drum slaughter. Very well balanced!

Piling Machine explains itself.

Total Destruction just obliterated Bizzy Bs 'Top Priority' as my new favourite "starts fairly innocent and suddenly goes absolutely bonkers" -tune. (thankfully, looking at the price...)

And the dub version is a fantastic variant to throw in if you are already spinning some really rough stuff and want to top it off.

Loving it!! Favorite track: Total Destruction.

Geroyche Absolutely essential tracks. Anthems which have been shaping the imagination of numerous producers. Mental explorations of noise and jungle. Favorite track: Total Destruction.

about

Maschinenbau was a label run by DJ Scud from Ambush and Nomex from Adverse which released only two 7”s in 1997/98. The first, Eurostar/Piling Machine, was limited to just 300 copies. It combined psychogeographical exploration and field recordings with Amiga-produced non-conformist breakcore and noise-abuse, while the second one, Total Destruction, became a classic of breakcore / noise crossover with several appearances on compilations such as Collision Course on PIAS (compiled by Kevin Martin, aka The Bug), but nevertheless fell into relative obscurity - like most of the great early breakcore - during the following decade.
Twenty years after the original 7”s, Praxis is proudly releasing a 12” EP with all four original tracks with the catalogue number Praxis 56.
